About The Position
This role is focused on Southeast Asia Cluster Markets excluding Indonesia. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage multiple countries with diverse market dynamics, bringing agility and adaptability to different environments. You will lead trade marketing initiatives, strengthen key customer relationships, and drive all channel strategies especially Retail and Food Service Channels.
Your Main Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive channel and customer marketing strategies aligned with business objectives, brand priorities, and country commercial plans.
- Identify growth drivers within key channels (Distributors, Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés, Bakeries, Industrial, and Retail) to unlock incremental volume and value.
- Translate category strategies into actionable, insight-based activation plans per channel and key account.
Customer Marketing & Activation
- Partner with the Sales and Distributor teams to design and deliver joint business plans, customer programs, and promotional calendars that drive profitable growth.
- Lead execution of trade and customer activations, ensuring brand visibility, consistency, and excellence in-store and at point-of-use.
- Develop sell-in toolkits, presentation decks, and sales support materials to enhance trade and customer engagement.
- Coordinate innovation launches and support go-to-market plans across priority markets.
Channel Development & Insights
- Analyze customer, shopper, and market insights to identify trends, whitespace opportunities, and performance gaps.
- Create tailored strategies for each channel (e.g., Food Service, Modern Trade, Traditional Trade) to strengthen brand positioning
- Partner with Finance and Sales to optimize trade spend ROI and measure the effectiveness of promotional programs.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Category teams to ensure seamless alignment between strategy and field execution.
- Support distributor capability building through regular training, joint business reviews, and visibility drives.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Establish robust tracking of channel performance KPIs, campaign effectiveness, and ROI.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to regional leadership to improve future execution and efficiency.
- Monitor competitor activities and emerging trends, sharing best practices and innovative solutions to maintain competitive advantage.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in trade marketing, customer marketing, or related roles in FMCG.
- Strong understanding of the Southeast Asia, its channels, and customer dynamics.
- Experience in Retail and/or Food Service Channels is highly valued and will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience in developing and executing trade marketing strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Proven ability to work across multiple countries with distinct market dynamics.
- A results-driven, entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills to drive impactful commercial execution.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and marketing software, leveraging insights to refine strategies.
- Willingness to travel within SEA is a must
